Data Collection in the App
Who is responsible for data collection?
Data processing is carried out by the operator. You can find the contact details in the imprint.
How do we collect your data?
Your data is collected in part by you providing it to us. This may include data you enter during registration.
Other data is collected automatically or with your consent when using the app by our IT systems. This is primarily technical data (e.g., operating system, app version). This data is collected automatically as soon as you use the app.
What do we use your data for?
The data is collected to ensure error-free provision of the app and to offer our services. Other data may be used to analyze your user behavior (only with your consent).

3. Data Collection in the App
Registration and User Account
We collect the following data during registration:
- Email address
- Password (stored encrypted)
- Name
Legal basis: Contract fulfillment (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b GDPR). The data is required to create and manage your user account.
Social Login (Google, Apple)
Alternatively, you can log in via your Google or Apple account. In this case, we receive the following data from the respective provider:
- Email address
- Name
- Profile picture
Legal basis: Consent (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR). You can revoke the connection at any time in your profile settings.
App Data
The following data is processed in the app:
- Household data (family members, rooms)
- Tasks and cleaning schedules
- Meal planning and recipes
- Shopping lists
- Inventory management
This data is stored on our servers to provide the app functions. Legal basis: Contract fulfillment (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b GDPR).
AI Features (Recipe Scanner)
The app offers an AI-powered recipe scanner feature. Images of recipes are transmitted to and processed by OpenAI (OpenAI, L.L.C., USA). Processing is based on your consent (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR).
OpenAI processes the data in accordance with their privacy policy. The images are not permanently stored and are not used for training AI models.
Push Notifications
With your consent, we send you push notifications about tasks and reminders. For this purpose, we use:
- Expo Push Notifications
- Apple Push Notification Service (iOS)
- Firebase Cloud Messaging (Android)
You can disable push notifications at any time in the app settings.
4. Premium Subscription
Payments for premium features are processed exclusively through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. We do not receive any payment data from you. Payment processing is carried out in accordance with Apple's or Google's privacy policies.
For subscription management, we use RevenueCat, Inc. (USA). RevenueCat processes anonymized subscription data. For more information, please refer to RevenueCat's privacy policy.
5. Hosting and Data Storage
Our app and databases are hosted on servers within the European Union.
No personal data is transferred to third countries outside the EU, with the exception of the explicitly mentioned services (OpenAI for the recipe scanner, RevenueCat for subscription management).
6. Email Communication
We send emails for the following purposes:
- Registration confirmation
- Password reset
- Important notifications about your account
For email delivery, we use Strato (SMTP). Processing takes place in Germany.
7. Cookies and Local Storage
The web version uses:
- HTTP-only cookies for authentication
- Session cookies for session management
The mobile app uses:
- AsyncStorage for local settings
- SecureStore for sensitive data such as tokens
No tracking cookies or third-party cookies are used.
8. Your Rights
You have the following rights regarding your personal data:
- Right to access your stored data (Art. 15 GDPR)
- Right to rectification of inaccurate data (Art. 16 GDPR)
- Right to erasure of your data (Art. 17 GDPR)

10. Data Security
We implement the following security measures:
- SSL/TLS encryption for all data transfers
- Encrypted storage of passwords (bcrypt)
- Regular security updates
- Access controls and authentication
11. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We reserve the right to update this privacy policy to ensure it always complies with current legal requirements or to implement changes to our services. The new privacy policy will apply to your subsequent visits.
